We're catching a TURKEY!!!!

We're catching a turkey by setting a trap! Our house will be his last lap!

We filled it with "corn" for the bait...then we went to bed, we just couldn't wait!

When we woke this morning what did we see??

Not a turkey but some poop instead! And he left a note too, it read:
"Good try, you almost caught me. I managed to escape but I left you a treat."

I guess we will have to try next year! Maybe my kids hair do's frightened it away!

I have been tending Ethan and Mckail a couple times a week for my brother. When we got back after getting Ethan from school today they decided (with a little persuasion from me) to play outside and I thought this was too cute not to share. They had a ton of fun in the Escalade and Ethan has nicknamed Kennedie "Kenz" I think it's way cute!There are some videos too but I cant figure it out right now so hang tight they are coming!

My Rant

I have been told many times by many people that I have "spoiled" my kids. "You hold her too much" "You going to regret spoiling her" "she's such a Mommies girl!" Well isnt that what being a mom is about? Letting your kids know that they can trust you so they can feel secure??
In this cruel world I want them to have a place where they can feel that everything is ok and I am so glad that place is in my arms! I love that my girls are "Mommies girls" thats what I am for!!
I love knowing that no matter what I can ALWAYS count on my mom for a hug, even now! One day when my kids are teenagers and screaming that they hate me I am going to be SO grateful that I held them every chance I got!
Just because they would rather me hold them than anyone else dont mean that they are spoiled! They are just incredibly loved and know that I will always be there to give them a hug when ever they need one!

Ok sorry I have just been holding that in for over 3 years, it feels good to get it out :)

Good Times...LOL

Today I am watching my niece Mckail for my brother. I knew Kennedie would be territorial of the toys in her room so I decided to make them a play room downstairs. We have an extra room that will be my laundry room one day but for now it's just the clutter catcher. I had quite a few toys of Kennedies that I had boxed up and put away so I got them out. Kennedie didnt remember any of them so it was new and exciting to her too!

Well it was all going great, so I came upstairs to share these pictures with you and a cat fight broke out! So they both spent some time in "time-out" and now they are in the kitchen eating a snack and singing "bellybutton bellybutton." Wish me luck!!

The Dunes

This is Kennedie singing Brecklyn a lullaby. Brecklyn was kinda cranky which is real unusual for her, I thought maybe it was the noise and being away from home. Then yesterday she was still cranky...so I looked in her mouth and sure enough she's getting a tooth! I thought she was a little young for this but apparently not. Anyway the dunes were fun we went down with Jasons mom and Jeff. It was a nice little getaway!

5 months and counting

Our baby Brecklyn turned 5 months on the 10th (yeah I am blogging a little late) so here are some pictures of the last 5 months.this is at the hospital she was so tiny!

Brecklyn is growing up so fast! I really wish time would slow down just for a little while but it wont so I will just cherish each moment as it passes.

We went to the doctor for Brecklyns well child exam (one month late) She got four shots and one oral vaccine :( ugh I hate that SOO bad! But any way she was in the 60% for her weight and the 91% for her height...she is going to be tall! But it runs on BOTH sides of the family so I am not shocked about that. Kennedie and I just fell into some 10% chance of being short LOL.
