Lu's tubes

Here is Brecklyn at 6:30 yesterday morning before her surgery.

After putting her in her tiny little hospital gown and signing papers with the anesthesiologist I almost cried and changed my mind, but I made myself stay. When they took her from me she just bawled and stared at me the whole way down the hall. It was only about 25 minutes and she was back in my arms. We got home around 8:30 and she took a VERY long nap. After about 3 hours I heard her whining in her crib so I ran up there. When I picked her up she just smiled and looked around with a puzzled look on her face. Then she looked at me and kind of laughed like "I had the WEIRDEST dream!"

Here She is today just happy as can be!

She loves riding her horse, she even makes it rock all by her self now! I am glad we had the surgery but I am even more glad that it is over!!

Brecklyn Lu

So we have decided to get Brecklyn some tubes in her ears. After 7 ear infections in the last 5 months we are ready. I know it is very minor and routine but I cant help but be a nervous wreck. She goes in at 7:00 am on Monday so if you guys could just give her your prayers we would really appreciate it! Thanks so much and I will let you know how it goes!

The "H" word..

So when I was tending the kids (Ethan, Kennedie, Mckail & Brecklyn) the three older ones were playing outside. I had the door open and was listening to them, apparently Kennedie didn't think I was though! They were all laughing about something and she kept saying "what the hell?!?" By the time I could get outside she had said it twice. I should have had the camera because her face when I walked around that corner was priceless! So I chased her down (because she knew what was coming from a previous episode with the "B" word) and when I caught her she got a dab of hand sanitizer in her mouth! Anyway they kept playing outside with the sidewalk chalk and when I checked I saw this...

Ethan wrote "Kennedie said the hell word" only in a 6 year old spelling :)

Kennedie doesn't swear it's just every once in awhile she will learn a new word from some where. She knows they are naughty so I think she try's to show off when Ethan and Mckail are here! That hand sanitizer works great though..lol no swear words since!

Sun Shine!!

We really enjoyed the sun yesterday, as I am sure everyone did!

Brecklyn really liked being outside and watching Kennedie ride her bike but she HATES the grass! It made things nice when Jason and I were cleaning out the car because she would not move off the blanket!

This is the only picture Kennedie would stop for. I REALLY wanted one of them together in their matching dresses but she just wouldn't stop riding her bike!

I was so torn...

I was so attached to Brecklyn's baby hair, she had SO much of it when she was born but then all that remained was this long patch on top. I swore I would NEVER cut it, but it just got so long I couldn't do anything with it and it would hang in her eyes. So I finally caved...

I am glad I did it, her little "flower" pony tail is so cute now! It was really hard I almost changed my mind when I had the scissors to her hair but I just held my breath and snipped. Just for the record Kennedie had her first hair cut only a month ago!


Here is the lock of hair it still makes me sad to look at it.
